Help Us Reduce Breast Cancer Retreat Wait Lists

Solar 1 Electrical is proud to be supporting The OTIS Foundation, last month making a decision to donate 5% of profits from all residential solar and electrical work booked and paid for between the 1st June through until 31st August 2019 to this very worthwhile cause.

It was an easy decision after discovering there is over 400 people on The OTIS Foundation’s current wait list, sadly some of these people will not live long enough to be gifted a retreat for themselves and their families.

‘At Solar 1 Electrical we wanted to make a difference and you can too by simply booking any electrical or solar work with us this winter.’

Funds Solar 1 Electrical raise will provide retreat accommodation to people experiencing breast cancer offering a temporary escape from the psychological and emotional challenges that accompany a breast cancer diagnosis.

‘We have 2 staff with immediate family members dealing with cancer and this has touched all of us. As a team, we wanted to be able to give back to our local community. The OTIS Foundation aligned well for us and we are proud to be supporting such a worthwhile cause’ stated Peter Angove, Director, Solar 1 Electrical.

Each year The OTIS Foundation makes close to 3,500 nights available across its network of retreats to people experiencing breast cancer and their families. For every $75 Solar 1 Electrical raises it will provide one night’s accommodation at an OTIS retreat for someone in need.
